We are seeking in Zurich a Generalist as:

(Junior) Quality Management Specialist                                                     


This is a great opportunity to join a young and fast growing company in Zurich and work on one of the important security challenges globally.

You will support the development, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as Safety policies and procedures that meet the criteria for ISO compliance as well as safety and configuration control requirements.

The position will be based at Arktis offices in Zurich and might involve international travel (up to 10%).


  • Prepare, maintain, enforce, and update the QMS to drive performance using ISO 9001 and 14001 and regulatory/legal standards;
  • Provide oversight of environmental, safety & health programs and integrate them into the QMS;
  • Coordinate the identification and implementation of all continuous process improvement activities;
  • Work with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements;
  • Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality;
  • Oversee inspection of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements;
  • Ensure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards;
  • Ensure accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring & measuring devices;
  • Coordinate project & engineering reviews and conduct internal & external quality audits;
  • Ensure that document control procedures are adopted;
  • Provide support in tracking tasks, use & maintenance of change files;
  • Ensure that the Configuration Management (CM) process is fit for purpose.


You are a younger person with at least two to three years professional experience in a similar role after your studies or higher technical qualification in the field of Engineering / Quality Assurance / Quality Control. Experience in the following areas will be a plus:

  • Practical experience and knowledge of the ISO 9000 series system;
  • Knowledge of safety standards and general experience in dealing with environmental issues;
  • Valid work permit for the European Union (a must);
  • Excellent spoken and written English, German knowledge is a plus;
  • Customer oriented approach.

In addition to the above, your technical expertise should include:

  • Knowledge of logistic systems, planning, quality control and supervisory policies, principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of analytical methodology, statistical process control and continual process improvement.
