Junior Bid & Project Manager/ess (100 %)

Opportunity to join small team in Swiss Engineering Company in Zurich at the dawn of it’s global market entry and work on one of the most important security challenges worldwide. Over the past years, Arktis has developed next-generation systems to detect and identify radioactive and nuclear materials.
We’re looking for a motivated Bid & Project Manager/ess with experience in managing projects and bids in the industrial manufacturing industry. The potential candidate will manage company bids along with all aspects of internal and customer projects. The Bid & Project Manager works directly with clients to ensure products meet their needs including coordination of maintenance, repair or training activities.

The position will be based at Arktis offices in Zurich and can involve international travel.

You will be responsible to:

  • manage the bidding process being one of three pillars of our company
  • develop opportunities
  • build relationships with existing and potential customers
  • help closing sales, growing the business
  • negotiate all aspects of a project necessary for its execution
  • manage internal resources and external suppliers for the execution of projects
  • coordinate and oversee the accounting, cost and billing related to projects
  • assist clients in resolving complaints, oversee post-sales services to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Track record in bid and project management in industrial manufacturing company requiring a technical background
  • bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering
  • certificate in project management equivalent to IPMA Level C
  • strong organizational skills, focus & attention to detail
  • experience in management of aftermarket services
  • likeable personality
  • good written and verbal communication
  • fluent in English and ideally also in German
  • valuable assets: experience in government contracting, work permit for the European Union
